Laureano Ranked Top 10 in World Exposure’s NJCAA Player Rankings

FORT MYERS, Fla.– Florida SouthWestern sophomore guard Sheslanie Laureano continues to garner national attention for her play on the Basketball court as Wednesday she was ranked the 8th best player in the country in World Exposure Report’s annual Juco Top 25.
Laureano was a finalist for the World Exposure Freshman of the Year as season ago after averaging 15.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game as a rookie. She was a First Team All-Conference selection for the Bucs, starting 30 of 31 contests and averaging a team best 27.1 minutes per night. She scored in double figures 25 times on the year, going over 20 on five occasions including three 27 point performances.
The World Exposure Top 25 includes eight players from the state of Florida with Laureano coming in third among that group. The list is led by Casper’s Kobe King-Hawea and Jones’ Jayla Alexander. For a complete list of the top 25 CLICK HERE.
Laureano and the Bucs open their shortened 2021 season on the road, January 22nd in Hanceville, Alabama where they will take on Wallace State before returning home to take on the top two teams in the state from a season ago, Gulf Coast State and Northwest Florida State on January 29-30 in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.
