Lynx Select Mikiah “Kiki” Herbert Harrigan with the Sixth Overall Pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft

The Minnesota Lynx selected Mikiah “Kiki” Herbert Harrigan Miami Suns Team Fowles alum with the sixth overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft.  The 6’2 Senior post starred locally at Flanagan HS and attended South Carolina.

Herbert Harrigan, a 6-2 senior, played in 31 games (all starts) for the Gamecocks, averaging 13.1 ppg and a career-high 5.6 rpg. A 2017 NCAA National Champion, Herbert Harrigan joined Alaina Coates and A’ja Wilson as the only South Carolina players to amass 1,000 points and 200 blocks in their college careers. She sits second in school rankings for total blocks (210).

The Pembroke Pines, Florida native helped South Carolina to not only an NCAA Championship but two SEC regular season titles, three SEC Tournament championships and appearances in the 2019 Sweet 16 and the 2018 Elite Eight. The SEC Tournament MVP posted career highs in points (13.1), rebounds (5.6), field goal percentage (50.6), three-point percentage (43.5) and free throw percentage (83.5) in her final collegiate season.

Coming out of High School, Kiki was ranked as the No. 12 forward in the 2016 Class.  She helped Flanagan HS to four district championships.  She was named 2016 8A Player of the Year and “Queen of the Court” by the Florida Basketball Coaches Association (FBCA) averaging 19 points and 11 rebounds as a senior.  She was a two-time FBCA All-State selection.
