NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 4, 2020—Bethune-Cookman sophomore Kiana Williams and Morgan State senior Chelsea Mitchell were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week, the conference office announced today. Williams (G, 5-6, So. Mitchell (G, 5-9, Sr., Columbia, Md.) had a monster game against Howard, pouring in 26 points to go along with 14 rebounds for her MEAC-leading 10th double-double of the season. Mitchell was 12-for-21 (.571) from the floor and nine of her 14 rebounds were on the defensive end. She also tied her collegiate career high with eight steals.
Massop (F, 6-0, Fr., Plantation, Fla.) had a strong game in her first game against the rival Wildcats, hitting four of her eight shots for 11 points. She also grabbed seven rebounds and blocked three shots.
Graham (F, 6-1, Sr., Upper Marlboro, Md.) averaged a double-double of the week, including 12.5 boards a game. Of her 25 total rebounds for the weekend, 18 of them came on the defensive end. Against Howard, Graham had 15 rebounds (11 defensive), while also blocking two shots and swiping a pair of steals.
